Because Stadarskali is located half way between Reykjavik and Akureyri, it has always been a poplular stop for those who are travelling on route 1.  The beautiful natural settings of Snaefellsnes insula and Strandir are not far away.  Furthermore, there are many places of interest close to Stadarskali.

Hotel Stadarskali is a member of Iceland’s Farm Holidays, which offers a variety of accommodation all over Iceland. The Hotel has 26 double rooms in two buildings, 18 rooms in the larger building and 8 in the smaller one.  The catering area can serve up to 80 people at a time.  The hotel has a comfortable lounge where you can relax by a fireplace or play the piano.  It is also excellent for small conferences and meetings.

The rooms are equipped with bathrooms, TV with domestic and international channels, telephones, pressure cookers, hair dryers, radio alarms and wireless internet connections.  The hotel is rated as a Country Hotel, class IV, according to the rating of Iceland’s Farm holidays.  Furthermore, it is rated as a three star hotel according to the ratings of the Icelandic Tourist Board.
